Bring your experience to Systran as a 3D Generalist and help take our offerings to the next level. In this position, you will work remote/hybrid/in-person with subject matter experts to model, texture, and animate high-poly and low-poly models for various applications. Depending on our clients’ needs, the models are used in animations, e-Learning, and game engine (Unity) apps.
You will split your time working in a team environment and independently to generate the 3D models. While working with the team, we collaborate to develop skills, troubleshoot, and plan project work for maximum efficiency. While working independently on 3D assets, we want you to do your best work with minimum oversight, with guidance and project support available as needed.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- 3D model industrial equipment
- Unwrap and texture 3D models
- Basic animation of 3D models
- Character animation experience a plus
- Compile/edit 3D renders into a movie (mp4)
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional 3D modeling, texturing, and basic animating experience, industrial equipment experience will be a plus.
- Associate degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in 3D Design or related field.
Skills and Abilities
- The successful candidate will offer a portfolio demonstrating advanced 3D modeling/texturing/animating skills, the ability to think creatively, and a keen eye for aesthetic and color use.
- Thorough understanding of modeling principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of unwrapping principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with Rizom, VRay, Adobe Premier/After Effects and Painter is a plus.
- Strong understanding of texturing principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of setting up a scene with lighting and render settings.
- XA basic understanding of animating principles.
- Stronger than usual attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to manage and maintain complex asset libraries.
- A quick learner willing and able to multitask and switch contexts when necessary.
- Budgeting and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and objective about final design work.
- Willingness to collaborate with other employees and accept constructive feedback.
- Ability to develop timelines; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; well-developed organizational skills.
Computer Skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following software packages: 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender; Adobe Painter, Rizom UV Visual Spaces, Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and AfterEffects.
- Proficient in the use and navigation of the Windows operating system in a networked environment, and skilled in most standard office applications – the ability to efficiently use Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to meet the productivity requirements of the position is a must.
- Must be capable of learning new software tools and using them efficiently.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
