Join our team at Tarsco Bolted Tank as a Robotic Welder Operator. You will operate an automated TRUMPF MIG Welding robotic welder, ensuring high-quality production standards and adherence to safety regulations.
A robotic welder operator is responsible for programming and operating a TRUMPF welding robot cell to perform a variety of Mig welding tasks.
These duties may include setting up the welding robot and programming it, monitoring the welding process to ensure that it is being performed accurately and consistently, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Welding robot operators should also be proficient in programming and operating welding robots and have proven problem-solving and communication skills.
1. Technical skills: Robotic welder operators must have an in-depth understanding of welding technology, including the different types of welding processes and technologies. Programming and operating welding robots is also key.
2. Problem-solving skills: Robotic welder operators should be able to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve problems that may arise during the welding process.
3. Attention to detail: Robotic welder operators should have a high level of attention to detail of quality to ensure that the welding process is performed accurately and consistently.
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of weld based on project needs
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
- Inspect welds, equipment, and structures to maintain quality assurance
- Troubleshoot issues with welding equipment
Educational Qualifications for this Robotic Welder Operator Role:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Robot programing certification, experience in automated robotic welding.
Experience Required:
- Proficient in TRUMPF robotic welding.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic machining, shop math, and safety practices.
- This role involves standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and manual dexterity.
- Safety gear required due to noise and potential hazards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
- Proficient in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Familiarity with robotic programming and logic controllers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of machining processes
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with Fanuc systems is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for design purposes
