Duties:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, pies and cookies
- Follow recipes and ensure accurate measurements of ingredients
- Package baked goods for display or delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the bakery
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a culinary role preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and principles
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Skills:
- Culinary skills: Proficient in baking techniques and familiar with a variety of baking equipment
- Food production: Ability to produce high-quality baked goods in large quantities
- Food preparation: Skilled in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and icings for various baked goods
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to maintain safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move and lift product.
- Ability to Lift-Pull-Push-Reach-Crouch-Twist - Stooping as needed. Repetitive motions, substantial movement (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
