Job Description: Accounting Support Specialist
Position Overview:
The Accounting Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the Finance/Accounting team by assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices to ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Reconcile Vendor’s statements monthly.
- Monitor AP Invoices are processed accurately with the automated system.
- Assist with Intercompany transactions such as billing and Intercompany reconciliations.
- Process invoices to customers.
- Process collections and post in accounting software.
- Assist AR Department by communicating with customers for any AR matters
Financial Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform data entry and ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting data.
Support for Monthly Closings:
- Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits.
Administrative Support:
- Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Associate’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
