The Holiday Inn & Suites of Sioux Falls Airport, a full-service 116 guest room hotel, is seeking an experienced Hotel Sales Manager. Candidates must have previous Experience in a hospitality sales position, with preference given to candidate with IHG Hotel sales background.
The Hotel Sales Manager fills a vital role in supporting the hotel’s financial goals with the primary responsibility of achieving sales goals by implementing sales and marketing programs in assigned markets. This position focuses on generating new business for the hotel as well as effectively managing existing client accounts.
Essential Functions:
- Prospects, qualifies, penetrates and manages business opportunities.
- Manages departmental goals to meet and/or exceed daily, weekly, monthly and annual revenue and expense goals outlined in the property’s budget.
- Creates, implements and manages annual sales and marketing plan that supports the overall budget and revenue goals for the hotel.
- Analyzes market segments and develops sales strategies to capture room night and revenue opportunities.
- Responsible for educating, coaching and communicating with fellow members of management and line associates regarding sales and revenue driven activities.
- Collaborates with Revenue Management, General Manager and related departments to create and implement revenue optimization and yield management strategies designed to maximize revenue and meet budget expectations.
- Develops methods to utilize marketing, social media and local networks to build revenue. Creates strategic plans around the marketing tools utilized to maximize growth. Includes producing marketing materials and attending events or tradeshows to create awareness and promote property facilities.
- Utilizes hotels Tripleseat database system to track and manage information for existing and prospective clients.
Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, have a strong sales and marketing background, sound administrative skills, and well-developed management skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and meet and work effectively with other departments is also required.
