What Our CVTs and Skilled Nurses Do:
- Prep appointments including reviewing records, general knowledge of patient’s history and handling notes, and prepare estimates
- Excellent ability to handle pets in fear-free manner
- Follow through on treatments including sample collection, injections, supportive care, and imaging
- Follow checklists to ensure work is completed accurately
- Effectively use practice management software, texting programs, and Office 365
- Run in-house diagnostic tests, such as urinalysis and lab work, and report results to the Doctors
- Effectively and warmly communicate with clients in a variety of ways
- Respond to medical questions from multiple team members
- Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and materials
- Accurately prepare prescriptions following internal protocols
- Provide accurate information and counseling regarding issues such as patient health care, behavior problems, and nutrition
- If experienced, work with surgery teams for sterile and dental procedures
- Monitor and care for sedated and recovering patients
- Triage medical issues over the phone and in the hospital
- Maintenance of in-house machines
- Meticulous record keeping, including client communications
- Light cleaning of exam rooms and treatment area
- Perform office and clerical duties as needed
- Report issues in a timely manner to Lead Nurse, Owners, or Practice Manager
