RJH is looking for a technically exceptional and driven professional to work on challenging and diverse geological, geotechnical, and water resources projects within a strong team environment. RJH projects range from small geotechnical explorations to large dam designs and construction. RJH manages projects with overall costs ranging from several thousand dollars to in excess of $200 million.
Resident Construction Engineer Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil, Construction, or Geological Engineering is preferred.
- 5 to 15 years of progressive experience in construction of dams, levees, water resources, and heavy civil projects.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction techniques and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in remote locations.
- Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain Colorado P.E. within 6 months of hire is preferred.
Resident Construction Engineer Job Description:
Work will include leading field engineering activities on construction project including interfacing with contractor, owner and RJH engineering staff. Perform construction observations and inspection, respond to contractor requests for information, document construction activities, develop engineer directives, track work progress, and direct quality assurance activities. Position may require travel and possible temporary relocation to project sites for extended periods.
