We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dynamic experienced professional to join our development team as a pivotal project manager/analyst and grant writer. This role is not just about managing projects and writing grants. It is about making a real difference in the lives of those in underserved communities in Metro Atlanta and the continued building of the ULGA legacy.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a collaborative effort, working closely with a team to develop a project plan. This plan will involve selecting a firm to conduct a feasibility study, a crucial step in determining the viability of new construction or renovation of an existing property to house the Urban League of Greater Atlanta's new Financial Empowerment Center.
Once the project's viability and direction are determined, this role will also participate in the capital campaign phase and all other aspects of development, including (research, grant, and proposal writing).
This role reports to the Chief Development Officer. Salary Range is $80-85,000 annually.
Key Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Project Management (PMP)Project Management Professional) certification preferred).
- Facilitate Project Feasibility Studies, and Vendor Selection and Management.
- Facilitate Capital Campaign Feasibility Study and Selection.
- Support the Recruitment of the Capital Campaign Committee Members.
- Conduct monthly meetings with Capital Campaign Committee Members.
- Business Analysis.
- Development (research, grant, and proposal writing).
- Provide oversight and support to Capital Campaign and committee members.
- Identify potential corporate, government, philanthropists, foundations and nonprofits as funders and collaborative partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
- 5+ years as mid-level or lead project manager (capital projects and fund-raising experience preferred).
- 3 + years as a business analyst, preferably in real-estate development or finance.
- 5+ years in a development role responsible for securing funds via verbal ask, proposal and grant writing.
- 3+ years in non-profit leadership or related field.
- Bachelors degree preferred in Non-profit Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. Masters preferred.
