(Tenant Power Toolkit Focus)

Inner City Law Center (ICLC) is a nonprofit law firm located in the Skid Row neighborhood of Los Angeles. We are looking for extraordinary people to help us end homelessness in Los Angeles. Position Description: The Project Coordinator for the Tenant Power Toolkit is part of the Tenant Defense Project and is primarily responsible for ICLC’s electronic filing services for the Tenant Power Toolkit. They closely monitor incoming e-filings, assign them to staff, field staff questions and issues, help address e-filing and Toolkit errors as needed, and generally ensure the high quality of our e-filing service by helping prevent missed filings or other errors. They are also responsible for supporting the team with outreach, workshop, and Toolkit testing efforts and helping improve the team’s services and collaboration.
- Oversee e-filing process for tenants who use the Tenant Power Toolkit and choose to have us electronically file and serve their Toolkit-generated documents.
- Assign e-filings to staff, accounting for and tracking staff capacity. Ensure all e-filings are properly assigned and handled.
- Routinely check systems for missed e-filings, delayed court responses, and other issues.
- Responsible for secondary review of e-filing rejections and cases where we are unable to e-file for a tenant, including ensuring proper processing of and communication to affected tenants.
- Field staff questions and speak to tenants directly when necessary.
- Help staff address rejections and other e-filing/service-related issues.
- Ensure quality of e-filing services – help develop and maintain scripts, trainings, guides, etc. for staff.
- Train new Administrative Clerks in e-filing and services.
- Cover e-filing and service of documents, as needed.
- Track e-filing follow-up, including properly processing acceptances and rejections from the court, when Administrative Clerks are out of office.
- Primarily responsible for handling court and One Legal issues.
- Primarily responsible for managing inflow and capacity (including turning off e-filing when needed).
- Primarily responsible for communicating with partner Toolkit staff regarding e-filing-related tenant requests and passing along information to Administrative Clerks.
- Help identify and implement ways to optimize Toolkit policies and procedures related to services and grant deliverables.
- Provide support with outreach efforts and workshop staffing.
- Provide support with Toolkit data collection and reporting to track and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Provide support with Toolkit testing and expansion efforts, as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Toolkit team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Hourly compensation from $26.10 - $40.00 per hour and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits.
