GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager for assigned project(s) to include coordination of discipline deliverables and delivery on commitments regarding to cost, schedule, and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Recognizes project scope changes and communicates to Discipline Leads and Project Manager
•Coordinates development and implementation of project specific Project Execution Plan
•Participates in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions on assigned projects
•Leads project meetings in Project Manager’s absence
•Manages project technical coordination to include ownership of project internal Leads meeting
•Manages the GIS change management process
•Performs risk assessments
•Coordinates project quality assurance efforts to include squad checking, project-level auditing, quality meetings as necessary
•Manages project metrics and identifies project risk to include resource forecasts, progress tracking, productivity, budget and schedule
•Manages EP projects <$15MM under the direction of a Project Manager
•Manages EP projects <$2 MM with minimal oversight of a Project Manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university
•Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering, with minimum 3 years as Project Engineer
•Proficient with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•PE certification is preferred
•PMP or other project management certification is preferred
