Home Health Specialty Services, Inc. is looking for a full time Intake Coordinator to work in our Hamden Office. Must have home care experience in the Intake Department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accepts referrals from discharge planners, physicians, community sources, marketing staff
- Interprets and explains coverage and services to prospective clients
- Organizes client medical record with all intake documents for the Case Manager
- Enters referral source demographics into computer system
- Updates MD license number, UPIN and NPI information
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate intake processes
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team as needed
Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in Medicare, Medicaid and commercial Insurance
- Excellent communication skills
- Use good telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using office software applications for data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
