Description:
In this role, the Medical Assistant will assist the physician in all aspects of patient flow while maintaining a high quality of patient care in a compassionate and humane manner. You will working with one or two practitioners, however since it is a small office you will be required to assist other practitioners to cover vacations, sick days, etc. where needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greeting patients
Obtaining medical history by asking patients questions about their medical conditions, medications and allergies.
Taking vital signs (height, weight temperature, pulse, and blood pressure).
Recording any findings into the patient charts and alerting the physician of the results.
Retrieving and filing charts
Completing forms.
Performing phlebotomy
Performs EKG
Reviews, resolves and routes messages appropriately
Prepare and record laboratory specimens; reorder clinical, stain slides, pharmaceutical and laboratory supplies
Making follow-up calls to patients
Prepare exam rooms and keep it well stocked
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalency required
Medical Assistant Certificate required
Minimum of two years experience in a healthcare facility
Candidate must possess excellent judgment, communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with all levels of staff
Basic computer skills required
Familiarity with eclinicalworks a plus

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
