JANUS Research Group is seeking a Deputy Red Team Lead / Intel Planner in support of HQ USAF Sponsored and Supported Wargaming. Primary location is Joint Base Andrews, MD with occasional visits to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and The Pentagon.
**Position is subject to contract award**
The Contractor will conduct activities to plan, execute, manage, and analyze throughout all phases of HQ USAF wargames (concept development, objective and analysis/assessment planning, game design, event planning, management, and execution, and post-game analysis).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Principal intelligence facilitator, assists Red (adversary) lead and Red planning team
- Maintains coordination with the Intelligence Community (IC)
- Facilitates IC support to wargames for Red
- Provides intelligence support during Blue events
- Organizes, manages, and facilitates Red wargame participants to achieve game objectives
- Conducts open source and classified research and analysis related to Red strategy and concept development and strategy implementation
- Contributes to development and execution of wargame design, objective, and analysis plans to include Wargame scenarios, force structures and order of battle, and manning among others
- Develops Red game database at correct classification through appropriate Joint documents in coordination with IC
- Drafts wargame products to support Joint Planning
- Contributes to data collection during wargame events
- Conducts post-game analysis and provides input to wargame reports
- Supports development and dissemination of post-game outcomes for senior
leaders and stakeholders, and AF strategy review
- Participates in non-AF Wargaming wargames if directed
- Assists in accomplishing staff taskings/actions as directed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Shall possess a graduate degree with a minimum of 14 years in an Air Force intelligence unit (squadron or group level) with at least 2 years above the Wing level (i.e. CCMD, MAJCOM, AOC, Air Intelligence Center, etc.).
- In addition, 2 years of experience in wargaming, concept development, operational planning, and/or strategic assessments.
- Documented experience in the Joint Intelligence Community is required.
- Experience in joint mission planning cells is highly desired.
- Advanced Study Group graduate and/or Weapons Officer is desired.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- TS/SCI eligible security clearance is mandatory.
