Expectations:
The pulse of every Child Care Center stems from the leadership that is demonstrated by each member of the center administration team. As the Senior Center Director you will oversee 2 daycare centers to foster a nurturing, happy and fun learning environment for all those in your Center. You are responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business while also demonstrating the ability to achieve center enrollment goals and financial goals. Center Director Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daycare center.
- Motivate, train and lead a high-performance team to create unique, engaging and quality classroom experiences; leverage and develop “best in class” educators to be passionate and committed professionals; attract, recruit, and retain staff members per the proper staff/child ratio as set by the State of Tennessee Licensing Entity.
- Monitor curriculum development and lesson plans to ensure the highest standard of education is being delivered; work with Lead Teachers to ensure that student evaluations are completed and are communicated to parents according to the curriculum guidelines.
- Ensure effective operation of center; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules, regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain responsibility in the areas of (1) interviewing, hiring and training employees; (2) planning, assigning and directing work of direct reports; (3) appraising performance of direct reports; (4) rewarding and disciplining employees; and (5) addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Educate and communicate company policies and procedures to newly hired employees; responsible for onboarding newly hired employees to include new hire orientation, employee handbook overview, employment documents, and benefit enrollment.
- Track the financials for each center and make suggestions for improvement to center directors.
- Meet or exceed financial goals and objectives as set in accordance with the company budget and achieve the set Key Performance Indicators.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff members and community contacts.
- Participate in required training and meetings, and travel to off-site trainings as needed.
- Oversee the directors ensuring a safe environment by conducting daily safety checks and following the emergency response plans set forth, conduct monthly fire drills and quarterly lock-down drills and maintain a log of drills conducted.
- Maintain continuing education requirements per company and state requirements.
- Perform job duties of any staff member as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Center Director Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferably in Education
- 2 years of experience as a Center Director
- 2 years of management experience
- Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail, flexible and ability to multi-task
- Strong Technology Skills (social media, Microsoft Office, KPI and Data Analysis)
- Financial and business acumen
