Sushi | Bar is bringing its acclaimed Omakase Sushi Concept to Nashville!
We are searching for a dedicated General Manager to lead our team for a summer opening. Sushi Bar is an intimate Omakase experience where the Chefs serve and interact directly with 12 guests sitting around their Sushi counter. This non-traditional, progressive, sushi experience has been one of the most coveted reservations in each market where it operates.
While restaurant only serves a maximum of 72 guests per dinner service, the guest average for this intimate concept is high as are the guest expectations. Fine dining experience and comfortability serving wine are required as is an attention to detail and polished guest interaction.
Additionally, the General Manager will oversee an ajoining bar concept as well as a seperate small togo concept all under one roof.
Guidelines for the position:
- 5+ years of fine Dining Service Experience
- 2+ years of Management Experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Sense of Urgency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the industry
- Ability to work long shifts up to 10-12 hours
- Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
Duties Include:
- Developing Guest Relationships
- Reservation management
- Insuring service is executed at high level
- Interviewing, Hiring and Training new staff
- Scheduling
- Payroll
- Working with the POS to edit menus and reference necessary reports
- Media relations
- Opening and Closing as Necessary
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage and motivate a small team of employees, providing training and guidance as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary while maintaning positive vendor relations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
