Store Manager for Arts and Crafts Class Business – The Sipping Plant

The Sipping Plant is looking for a friendly and energetic Store Manager for our Sandy Springs location! Your ability to build rapport, communicate clearly and effectively, and foster a fun and creative environment will dictate your success in this role!
The Company: The Sipping Plant is the most unique night out in Atlanta! We teach our customers how to create custom succulent terrariums or string art while they enjoy BYOB drinks with friends and family! We are well-known for our friendly, knowledgeable instructors and great customer service!
The Position: Our company is seeking a Store Manager for our Sandy Springs studio. Our manager will be responsible for supervising, organizing and working alongside our team of instructors. You will be in charge of managing sales by meeting planned goals, coordinating with our social media content creator for group event lead generation and in-studio event promotions, inventory management, employee scheduling, social media posting, written and telecommunication with customers, and overseeing everyday store operations. You will be tasked with leading and evaluating the performance of Instructors by tracking completion of operational checklists and compliance to training materials and procedures. You will also be expected to lead craft classes alongside instructors as part of the location team.
Pay: $20/hour + tips
Expected Hours: This is a Part-Time position where hours vary based on the needs of the business. You can expect 15-25 hours per week, with more hours available during the busy seasons. The position requires evening/night and weekend work.

- Experience with social media platforms for business use.

- Must be 21+ years old.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have experience with public speaking.
- Must have retail sales experience.

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities:
- Meeting planned sales goals.
- Setting individual sales goals targets with the Instructors, and creating plans and strategies with Instructors for how to meet those sales goals.
- Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the Instructors based on key metrics.
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
- Coordinating with marketing on observed trends,
- Ongoing training of instructors.
- Managing/ensuring compliance to company protocols and procedures.
- Implementation and documentation of disciplinary measures
- Promoting the business and its products to the public
- Social media posts using business profiles
- Understanding our target demographic and the role the business plays in their lives. Using this understanding to create a better experience for our guests.
- Corresponding, scheduling, booking, managing payments for private events (on-site and off-site).
- Corporate event outreach and lead generation
- Employee shift scheduling using scheduling software
- Oversight of employee time sheets and submitting time sheets for payroll processing
- Accepting deliveries at the locations and putting away deliveries into storage
- Organizing, checking and managing inventory
- Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.
- Operating online booking system and managing financial transactions.
- Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
- Increasing in-store sales.
- Having superior product knowledge on all offered crafts and materials.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly appearance throughout the store.
- Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
- Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts.
- Communicating instructions clearly and effectively to many different types of people
- Take charge of the room and keep the large group on task/on schedule

The Location: The Sipping Plant is located on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs, GA.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
