REMA USA LLC (REMA®) a privately held, global company with operations in Germany, China and the USA, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manufacturing and Facilities Manager for the operation in Greenville, SC. The primary business of REMA is manufacturing, assembly and distribution of specialty electrical components.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing and Facilities Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective running of production lines, ensuring that the output meets deadlines while adhering to quality standards and objectives. This position must consistently demonstrate a sense of urgency and accountability for the production team to meet and/or surpass objectives while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Coordinates with Division Management to ensure production capabilities, commitments, and standards are consistently met, with focused accountability to the annual Quality Objectives.
- Assigns and supervises production staff.
- Develops, implements, maintains, and tracks production training and skills assessment programs.
- Analyzes production workflows to gain efficiencies and project accurate product output data.
- Monitors productivity to meet specifications, deadlines, and to proactively resolve issues.
- Ensures quality control measures are consistently followed, with a direct line of accountability to customer satisfaction.
- Regularly assesses and communicates supply needs to prevent negative impact to workflows.
- Ensures regular maintenance and timely repairs of all production equipment.
- Monitors and adapts labor schedules to meet customer demands for both slow and peak times.
- Establishes and ensures all production records are properly maintained and monitored for improvement opportunities.
- Implements lean manufacturing principles in all aspects of production planning.
- Ensures 5S principles are satisfied daily.
- Oversees strict adherence by all production staff to the safety programs and protocol.
- May be required to perform various production tasks to help ensure customer demands are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management
- Trained in Lean Manufacturing principles
- 8-10 years manufacturing management experience
- Demonstrated experience with quality standards for ISO preferred
- Previous experience with automotive industry helpful
- Working knowledge of electrical component assembly preferred
- Computer literate with business and industry specific data systems
- Strong leadership skills, with proven abilities in team building and supervising
- Strong communication skills for relaying analytical production data and for problem-solving needs
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Able to speak, read and write the English language

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
