Job Title: Home Health Aide
Job Summary:
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients. You will work closely with medical personnel to ensure the well-being of clients with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication and assist with medical documentation as required
- Monitor and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist clients with special needs, including those with physical disabilities or cognitive impairments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client
- Prepare meals and cook according to dietary restrictions
- Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant roles preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail when documenting medical information
Skills:
- Systems knowledge for efficient care delivery
- Understanding of employment standards in healthcare settings
- Familiarity with Medical terminology for accurate communication
- Experience in Dementia care for specialized support
- Proficiency in Meal preparation tailored to dietary needs
- Caregiving skills for compassionate assistance
- Ability to monitor Vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Competency in Catheter care for specific cases
