Position: Quality Assurance Analyst
Compensation Range: $22.00 – $27.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Onsite – Overtime as needed
About the Quality Assurance Analyst: The Analyst will work in conjunction with the Engineering and Production departments on root cause analysis to solve process performance and product quality issues. The Quality Assurance Analyst works in concert with all departments to support the quality system and ensure conformance to the company’s quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Record, monitor and report on final inspection nonconformance's.
- Monitor and analyze process and historical data for customer complaints and in-house nonconformance investigations.
- Participate in Quality Planning Activities to determine the need for specialized measuring techniques and/or training.
- Initiate quality instructions to clarify measuring techniques for production when necessary.
- Work in tandem with Engineering, Production, and Operations to quickly investigate customer reports of nonconformance's and assess in-house product.
- Log and inspect customer returned samples and product.
- Maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Maintain and comply with the quality system.
- Exhibit positive, supportive behavior in all interactions with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers.
What You’ll Need:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or a minimum of five (5) years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (REQUIRED)
- At least 2 years of experience in the thermoplastic extrusion environment. (Preferred)
- Advanced math skills.
- Strong knowledge of word-processing, database and spreadsheet software.
- Advanced knowledge of measurement techniques.
- Advanced Statistical Process Control.
- Requires general knowledge of statistical practices such as: control chart, pareto analyses, and histogram, etc.
- Advanced blueprint reading.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO9000.
