Job Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a desire to grow in their Maintenance career. They responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of Industrial machinery. If you have a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills, we would love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adjust equipment to bring it into operational specifications.
- Complete all assigned preventive tasks including major service and overhaul.
- Complete routine preventive tasks such as cleaning, inspection and minor service or overhaul.
- Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Maintain current and accurate maintenance data to determine establish historical records and future maintenance requirements.
- Maintain machinery lubrication requirements.
- Recommend process or procedure changes based on observed equipment behavior.
- Replace identified parts or components that have failed.
- Shadow senior technicians and operators to learn equipment, tools, processes to support and perform at a higher level as needed.
- Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation and safety of system.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on proper equipment service and condition.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunction using logical and systematic methodologies.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong Mechanical or Electrical aptitude.
- Knowledge of hydraulics a plus.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Must be familiar with normal shop equipment such as drill press, band saw and portable power tools.
- Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to advance skill proficiencies through assigned training.
- 2-year Technical Degree desired.
- A minimum of 1 year of industrial manufacturing or comparable skills demonstration required.
- Shadow senior technicians and operators to learn equipment, tools, processes to support and perform at a higher level as needed.
