The Front Desk Receptionist at Bridging the Dental Gap plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and organized.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using the clinic’s scheduling system.
- Coordinate with dental staff to optimize appointment slots and reduce wait times.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and other general information.
- Handle patient emails and messages promptly and professionally.
- Assist patients with the completion of necessary forms and documentation.
- Verify and update patient information.
- Process patient payments and provide receipts.
- Assist with insurance verifications and claims processing.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with dental and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a medical or dental setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., MS Office, EHR systems).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
