```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update as necessary
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is a plus
