Receives, Ships, counts, packs, weighs, labels, records data, processes paperwork for incoming and outgoing product.
· Uses copy machine, facsimile, calculator, typewriter, computer, printer, and telephone.
· Operates sit-down and stand-up fork truck(s), pallet jack,
· Loads and unloads vehicles using material handling equipment or by hand.
· Generates UPS, Fed-X, Bill of Lading and other shipping documents.
· Reports any shortage in shop supplies to Purchasing.
· Maintains a clean safe work environment daily.
· Follow all safety procedures and wear protective clothing/gear when applicable.
· Communicates with Management to prioritize incoming and outgoing products daily.
· Demonstrate knowledge of cycle times and physical counts
RECEIVING:
· Examines incoming products for visible damage and signs for product accordingly. Reports any damage to Management.
· Verifies incoming weights prior to signing and notes any discrepancies especially on raw material. Reports discrepancies to Shop Supervisor.
· Breakdown counts and repacks product according to requirements using piece part counting scale.
· Reports any damage or nonconformities to Management .
· Verifies counts against receiver and reports any discrepancies to Management.
· Generates inspection paperwork and processes inspection samples.
· Identifies and labels all boxes/containers.
· Issues product to stock locations.
· Submits all paperwork into accounting.
SHIPPING:
· Moves product from pending inspection area according to inspection documentation.
· Generates paperwork required for shipping to vendors/customers in the required format including packing lists, bills of lading, certifications, labels. Submits documentation for approval by Management prior to shipment.
· Stages, stretch wraps, and bands product to ensure product quality is not compromised.
· Places product into proper stock locations as required.
· Maintain Work in progress report.
· Pulls product from stock locations and ships according to freight routing forms and inspection tickets.
· Turns all paperwork into accounting.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Experience on sit-down and/or stand-up fork trucks preferred. Any shipping/receiving experience or manufacturing/distribution experience is useful. On-the-job training provided. Performance monitored over a 30-day trial period.
RECOMMENDED ATTRIBUTES: Should be detailed oriented, able to handle a fast-paced environment, accurate with addition and subtraction, able to handle daily physical labor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift an average of 60 lbs. Must pass a physical exam by a physician of our choice. Written, visual, verbal activities required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical non-air-conditioned warehouse loading dock environment with exposure to Fork truck exhaust, metal manufacturing, cleaning compounds/agents.
