Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other tools to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure proper functioning.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to determine machining requirements.
Skills:
- Proficient in math and geometry to accurately calculate dimensions, angles, and tolerances.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software, such as CATIA, for programming CNC machines.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their proper usage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T symbols.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
