Top Managed Care organization is hiring Certified Pharmacy Tech to work in Irving TX!
Must hold current Texas Certified Pharmacy Technician license
Duties:
- Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work.
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills.
- Checks all orders for completeness of the information.
- Ability to read and interpret prescriptions
- Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
- Contacts HCP Offices for Clarifications - Phone support
- Direct Communication with Manufacturer HUBs and Clients
- Communicate via Email with Hubs and Clients.
- Checks all orders for insurance approval.
- Send Fax Refill requests and Exceptions Faxes to HCP Offices
- Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
- Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.
- Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription in accordance with The Company policy and procedure.
- Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation, and process third-party claims adjudication.
- Maintains a neat and clean workstation.
- Accurately process all orders in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software templates.
Requirements:
- Technicians with a history of call Queues or a long History working in a Mail Order environment.
- Valid Texas Pharmacy tech certification - CPHT
- Knowledgeable in Excel,
- 1-2 years of experience as a CPHT
- High school graduate or equivalent```Duties:```
- Assist pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare products to patients
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately
- Package and label medications appropriately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding medications
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
- Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Familiarity with medication administration and dosage forms
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is a plus
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
