We are a small-sized Seattle-based Commercial Construction General Contractor looking for a journeyman Carpenter Foreman to join our team!
The ideal Carpenter Foreman candidate will be hard-working, motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Responsibilities for a Journeyman Carpenter Foreman include the following:
- Managing/training carpenters and laborers.
- Framing (wood or metal stud).
- Minor concrete work.
- Accurately layout and measure.
- Use hand tools and power tools to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood and plywood.
- Perform a variety of finish carpentry tasks such as hang doors, install finish millwork, drywall, paint, install windows, siding, stairs, handrails, decks, cabinets, flooring, FRP, etc.
- Quantity take-off to order materials.
- Read plans, specifications, and submittals to verify conformance to project documents.
- Inspect subcontractor’s work for quality.
- Follow safety rules.
Job Requirements - Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Carpenter.
- Possess a strong knowledge of carpentry and understanding of the trade tools.
- Able to interpret construction plans.
- Able to take direction.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- A good understanding of construction industry safety rules and regulations.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders; kneel; lift 75 lbs; and reach overhead.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Benefits:
- Pay range is about $30.00 - $45.00/hour depending on experience.
- 85% of work is prevailing wage (so you will be paid the applicable prevailing wage rate).
