JOB OVERVIEW:
To provide Speech and Language services to students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
- Provide service to children K-8 with identified speech/language needs
- Participate in team meetings
- Conduct evaluations of students as needed
- Implement speech and language components of students’ Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Assessment of speech and language needs
- Participate in annual reviews and individual education plan meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Letters of application
- Recommendations and/or references
- Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with children is preferred.
- Must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Speech/Language Pathology Teaching Certificate. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered.
- The ability to speak a foreign language/Spanish is strongly preferred.
EVALUATION: As per current collective bargaining agreement
