Assistant Dining Operations Manager
Position Summary:
Assistant Dining Operations Manager, In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation, set-up and completion of all scheduled functions and proper upkeep of meeting spaces, banquet facilities, storage rooms and equipment in an efficient and timely manner. The Assistant Dining Operations Manager assists the Dining Operations Manager in overseeing all aspects of club banquet or special events including set-up serving and cleanup.
Essential Responsibilities:

- The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good staff relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for members.

Properly and efficiently execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

Participate and lead daily pre-shift meetings to discuss shift related issues and provide the staff with necessary information.

Leading by example, through actions, words and behaviors that influence others to act and respond in appropriate, positive and thoughtful ways towards members and fellow staff members.

Ensure that Banquet storage facilities, uniform and other Banquet areas are maintained, organized and hygienic.

Anticipate and address member service needs as they arise and resolve all matters where expectations are not met.

Control and inventory of Banquet China, cutlery, glassware, linen, and equipment.

Control and assign staff to keep all banquet and AV storage areas clean and organized and free from debris.

Stay abreast of club goals in order to create, support, and present departmental goals to executive leadership.

Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and members.

Assist personnel in setting up a function room to the desired specifications.

Ensure that Dining Spaces are set-up and service delivery is carried out according to member expectations and banquet event order. Conduct pre-function meetings with scheduled staff and review all information pertinent to the service and set-up of groups. Inspect scheduled function areas/rooms, table set-ups, bar set-ups, buffet tables, receptions and coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness and proper layout.

Work in conjunction with the Dining Operations Manager and Director of Dining Operations to ensure special events, dining operations and overall clubhouse success.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of management in a private country club preferred

Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and a strong F & B background.

Computer skills (Excel and Point of Sale a plus).

Knowledge of wine and beverage programming/purchasing.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- 1 year supervisory or management experience.
