Overview:
As the Director of Revenue you will be responsible for maximizing rooms revenue and yield penetration through proper management of rooms inventories and through analytical and technical knowledge of hotel reservations system.
Essential Functions
· Understand and assess the pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market, the elements of demand and price optimization.
· Collaborate in the development of all pricing and market mix strategies. Including strategic tactics based on historical data and current market trends
· Assist in the development and execution of a strategic plan and the Annual Operating Plan for the company.
- Drive the business plan and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trackers for overall hotel success.
- Monitor and analyze competition weekly through competitive shops, demand 360, and agency 360.
- Develop and implement succession planning for Revenue Management talent.
- Manage room and function space inventory, allocating and restricting inventory for optimal revenue and profit.
· Develop and maintain short and long-term transient forecasts.
· Monitor group sales forecast to ensure forecast accuracy
· Maintain revenue management systems
· Implement pricing and availability decisions in PMS system
· Ensure the accuracy of the hotel information and develop procedures on daily maintenance and general functionality
· Conduct weekly revenue meetings
· Analyze & share market trends & best practices.
· Understanding of major Distribution channels from retail to wholesale
· Able to think in an entrepreneurial mind set as an independent hotelier
Experience, Skills, Knowledge
· 5+ Years of hotel revenue management experience demonstrating the ability to analyze key hotels market activity.
· Microsoft Office and excel proficiency.
· Independent hotel experience preferred
· Experience working with Opera, I Hotelier, Agency 360 reports and Distribution Channels
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or related field.
· Familiarization with hotel revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
· Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
· Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data
· Must effectively manage and adhere to strict daily/weekly/monthly deadlines.
· Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data.
· Attention to detail required.
· Ability to operate in a team environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
