Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000/year
Position Overview: Are you passionate about driving positive change in education? Join our team as a Learning Support and Intervention Coordinator! In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with the education leadership team to improve the educational practices and coaching implementation in the school. You will supervise and manage the intervention teachers to monitor, develop, improve and support teachers in implementation of differentiated Response to Intervention tier 1 and tier 2 practices for student achievement. You will also coordinate the monitoring compliance of all standardized testing; working with the education leadership team to transform all standardized test data into usable information and helps guide classroom teachers on next steps based on data. Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited:
- Help with the coordination, analysis, and sharing of student data, including the use of data to help teachers identify and group children who need additional supports
- Support teachers to use data to document, evaluate and measure the effectiveness of specific RTI strategies and interventions in order to refine Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels.
- Help teachers develop and implement classroom-based, developmentally appropriate interventions for individual children and groups of children to enhance their acquisition of social/emotional and cognitive skills
- Gather and organize grade-level/subject area universal assessment tools and develop in-house assessments for progress monitoring purposes for all teachers
- Manage the administration of all standardized testing for grades 1-5.
- Analyze and share analysis of standardized testing data after each assessment window.
- Design collaborative systems to support the sharing of RTI best practices.
- Plan and participate in education staff professional development activities to enhance student learning and provide service to the profession and the community.
- Work with the Learning Support Coordinator to facilitate eligibility for special education
- Coordinate the Teacher Coach program, with support from the education leadership team, for professional growth of teachers.
- Build ongoing relationships through effective communication with caregivers about student RTI needs and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution
- Experience in teaching Intervention or Special Education
- 5 or more years of elementary school experience in teaching and leadership
- Experience with instructional coaching.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible in a collaborative learning and working environment
- Respect of diversity and cross-cultural communication
- Knowledge of research findings for updated best practices in the classroom and for individual student needs
- Ability to communicate effectively

Terms of Employment: 11 Month
- Working Environment: In-school. The role is based on-site and includes interaction with students, parents and staff.
