Required Qualifications & Experience: Terminal degree in field or discipline and a record of teaching, research, scholarship, and/or creative activities that supports appointment as a tenured professor in one of the University’s academic departments. The incumbent must have experience as a department/division chair, school director, administrator, or equivalent role that involved the selection, assignment of faculty workload, faculty support and evaluation; experience planning, delivering, and evaluating training programs and workshops with an equity-minded focus; demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a collective bargaining and/or shared-governance environment. The incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including good listening and perspective-taking skills; strong analytical and organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate good working relationships with faculty, staff, and all levels of campus administration. The incumbent must have the ability to plan and execute multiple large-scale projects; use data to support planning and decision-making; work independently and sound judgment in seeking guidance and approval. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
