Key Responsibilities:
The Weatherization Clerk performs a variety of clerical work, to include filing, answering phones, preparing reports and such other duties. The assignments are routine in nature and are carried out in accordance with instructions and general supervision of the Weatherization Assistant and Weatherization Coordinator.
* Collect data for a variety of reports and specifications as directed.
* Provide administrative support services for weatherization and housing programs, including, but not limited to; correspondence, reporting requirements, client/vendor contact, phone support and other clerical duties as assigned.
* Provide telephone services including; but not limited to answering client’s calls and providing accurate information, taking and delivering messages for management and technical staff, providing client referrals as necessary, and making follow up call as required.
* Maintain accurate weatherization data including, but not limited to; waiting list, completed job data for monthly and programmatic reporting, and assisting with materials/equipment inventorying as needed.
* Assist with reviewing applications for services, preparing client files, and maintaining client files and other department records as needed.
* Assist with client outreach and education, including preparing and maintaining supplies for outreach and education, maintaining links and information for appropriate referrals.
* Prepare and process purchase orders, and check requests and reconcile delivery tickets and invoices for payment.
* These duties are not all-inclusive and the employee will also perform other related duties as assigned by the department head, supervisor, or other member of management.

Job Skills & Knowledge:
* Good written and oral communication skills; the ability to complete necessary documentation and reports
* Possess proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as data entry.
* Ability to quickly and accurately compute math.
* Skilled in office procedures such as email, faxing, etc.
* Ability to work effectively and meet time-sensitive deadlines
* Knowledge of modern operation and procedure method of office equipment.
* General knowledge and awareness of the problems of low-income residents of the community.
* Thorough knowledge of the agencies and services available to meet the needs of low-income residents of the community.
Minimum Requirements of the Position
* Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
* Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)
* Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.
* High School Diploma or GED.
* One year of clerical experience.
