The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn’s activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, bumper cars, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.
This first-class family entertainment facility is comprised of 35,000 square feet of interior space and offices, two ice skating rinks which convert to a splash pad area and roller skating arena, biking and boating activities. Position: Venue Operations and Production Manager
We are a hospitality services company specializing in creating destinations and immersive experiences. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Venue Operations and Production Manager to join our growing team. Collaborating closely with senior management, this role oversees all aspects of venue operations, striving to elevate guest experiences through exceptional hospitality. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in high-volume recreational venue operations and event management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Ice/Roller Rink, Bumpers, Boating, and Biking operations.
- Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and production support.
- Drive revenue and profitability while optimizing operational costs.
- Uphold best safety and cleanliness best practices and standards.
- Conduct daily site walk-throughs of the venue to assess staffing, maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Monitor inventory levels, equipment needs, and supply orders.
- Ensure proper music, lighting, and temperature controls are set and maintained.
- Develop and enforce operating procedures, standards and protocols to ensure quality across all services and compliance with safety regulations
- Address guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate repair and maintenance problems (building and equipment).
- Work with the facility maintenance team to preserve venue aesthetics.
- Operate, maintain and safeguard the technical assets of the venues, including supervising the use of lighting, sound and communications equipment.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Facilitate necessary production support, such as tenting, electric distribution, lighting, sound, staging, and similar special needs, necessary for events, activations, & other productions. Utilize in house staff and production equipment as well as interface and coordinate with external clients and vendors.
- Supervise contracted staff for events and facilitate technical needs.
- Oversee equipment handling and safety compliance.
- Create and maintain databases for internal reports, logs, and procedures.
- Research and complete licenses and permits application processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Comprehensive experience and deep understanding of all aspects of recreational venue operations and service.
- Understanding of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
- Great interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, professionalism, attentiveness, and positivity.
- Responsive and proactive with follow-through and follow-up.
- Financially savvy with a keen understanding of operational costs and implementing controls.
- Knowledge of heavy machinery operation.
- Creative thinker capable of providing innovative solutions.
- Effective management of multiple projects and tasks.
- Professional and effective communication with clients, prospects, sponsors, and strategic partners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong leadership skills and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Ability to work on weekends and nights as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $78,000.00 per year
