Are you passionate about keeping things running smoothly? We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations.
The Maintenance Technician will ensure the Glanbia Performance Nutrition Aurora manufacturing plant is always operating safely and at full capacity. Our facility produces the leading sports nutrition brand, Optimum Nutrition, along with other products that support sports nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Essential Responsibilities:
- Use a range of tools, from hammers to precision instruments, to maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, including controls for production processes.
- Stay up-to-date with training programs to enhance your skills.
- Collaborate with suppliers to order replacement parts.
- Lead preventive maintenance efforts.
- Be the first responder for troubleshooting machine issues.
- Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure safety and reliability in plant operations.
Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment (Voltmeter, Ammeter, etc.).
- Strong understanding of production machinery operations.
- Ability to interpret complex technical materials.
- Knowledge of safety procedures (Lock Out Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.).
- Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Time management and task prioritization abilities.
- Familiarity with 3-phase industrial wiring and power distribution.
- Experience with AC/DC drives and PLC troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with maintenance leads, operations, and engineering to enhance equipment reliability.
- Fearlessly address unsafe conditions within the facility and equipment.
- Drive safety improvement projects or take ownership of safety systems.
- Become the go-to expert for equipment in your area and mentor others.
Educational Requirements:
- High School / Vocational School Diploma or Equivalent – Required
- Technician-level formal schooling (Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic) – Preferred
- Basic PLC and Drive training – Preferred
Preferred Experience:
- 4+ years in industrial maintenance (required).
- Knowledge of GMP/HACCP.
- Experience in food processing and packaging equipment.
- Dry powder filling expertise.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- English proficiency (reading and writing).
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish.
- Have your own hand tools (required).
- Skilled in operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
