- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary, following dietary guidelines and restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Experience in cooking and meal preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospice care and assisted living environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of catheter care, tube feeding, and other specialized medical procedures is desirable.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
