Purpose and Performance Goals:
The primary responsibility of a Barista/ Breakfast Attendant is to deliver and exceed guest expectations, resolve challenges, uphold food safety standards, and maintain excellent communication with guests, peers, and supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Set up and break down the breakfast bar per established hotel standards
· Preparation of food according to IHG/brand standards and ensuring proper temperatures of hot and cold items according to health code regulations.
· Maintain the kitchen organized and running efficiently.
· Follow proper food handling, sanitation and food storage procedures.
· Maintain the buffet breakfast stocked throughout service
· Maintain the breakfast dinning and buffet area clean throughout service
· Meet and greet guests as they arrive and enhancing the experience with pleasant interactions.
· Cleans equipment and restocks all food items for the next day.
· Clean out all refrigerators, label, date and rotate all food items on food delivery days
· Assists with banquet events by setting up meeting rooms, coffee services and breakdown of meeting room
· Preparation of food/beverage according to brand standards and ensuring proper temperatures of hot and cold items according to health code regulations.
· Replenish food and service supplies and utensils in the coffee bar.
· Clean and sanitize all equipment in the coffee bar.
· Clean out all coffee bar refrigerators and reach-ins daily; label, date and rotate all food items.
· Sweep and mop floors in the coffee bar daily or as needed.
· Ensure all food orders are put up and stored in proper places with proper dating.
· Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the coffee bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beverages, paper products, straws, stirrers and condiments.
· Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
· Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
· Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
· Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
· Performs all other department related tasks, as assigned by management.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
