The Nursing Simulation Coordinator is responsible for managing simulation activities for the CCD nursing programs by planning, implementing, and evaluating the integration of simulation into the curriculum to promote student learning, critical thinking and clinical decision-making in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to success equity, respect for diversity, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. . This position is an Administrator Technical Professional position with teaching responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure in Colorado
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) Certification (or must be obtained within six months of hire)
Experience: (Required)
- A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- At least one year of related experience in simulation lab
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (Required)
- Knowledge of educational technology with emphasis on nursing education
- Self-starter, able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Team player, collaborates with faculty, students, and staff
- Effective communicator, in verbal and written word
Education: (Preferred)
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification
- Hold MSN degree with focus on nursing education
Experience: (Preferred)
- Experience with virtual simulation programs
- Active in professional organizations related to nursing education and/or simulation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
