Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Support Representative. In this role, you will support VeriFirst’s corporate clients and consumers, providing product training, compliance guidance, and general support of their background screening process.
You will assist with order processing and verifications and review screening results for accuracy and completion.
Our Customer Support Representatives become a trusted point of contact for clients and consumers and provide exceptional support throughout the screening process. As a vital team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining VeriFirst’s reputation for excellence in the background screening industry.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally via phone, email, and chat.
- Guide clients through the background screening process, including account setup, order placement, and result interpretation.
- Analyzing daily business activity and fulfilling requests from clients for background checks
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues and escalate complex inquiries as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide product demonstrations and training sessions to clients as needed.
- Maintain FCRA compliance and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
- Other projects as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer support is a must, preferably in the background screening industry (but not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented (reviewing multiple background check results for accuracy)
- Organized (follows policies and procedures and properly maintains records).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- High proficiency with web browser navigation and internet research.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Mail, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience with CRM software is preferred.
