We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to support the efficient functioning of our mission-driven mental health agency. The Director of Operations will play a key role in strategic planning, program development, and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the mental health field.
Job Description
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the agency's mission and vision. Provide input on long-term goals, program expansion, and resource allocation.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency, including administrative functions, staffing, scheduling, and facility management. Ensure compliance with OMH and OMIG regulatory standards.
- Clinical Support: Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director to facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices across the agency, including outcome measurement and tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery. Monitor KPIs, client outcomes, and client satisfaction to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Staff Development: Provide leadership and supervision to staff members, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of teamwork, professional growth, and continuous learning.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the agency, including legal, regulatory, and safety concerns. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and minimal liability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field. Clinical experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the mental health field or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of Article 31 mental health services, treatment modalities, and best practices.
- Proven track record of strategic planning, program development, and operational management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build effective partnerships.
- Knowledge of OMH and OMIG regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive financial sustainability.
Working Conditions
This position will be in person, with the office being located at 33 W. 60th St, Manhattan, NY, with weekly travel to the Bronx location. This is a professional work environment where a computer, desk, chair and office supplies will be provided.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak on the phone or computer throughout the day, stand and sit for an extended period of time and be able to write and answer emails in addition to carrying objects no greater than 25 pounds, when needed.
