This position is responsible for conducting standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to determine physical or chemical properties of finished goods food products to ensure compliance with company, customer, or government quality standards. This position is accountable for managing the process of addressing product non-conformities and accurate documentation.
Hours: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Includes a $2.00/hr shift premium.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and update all product records, keeping them in an organized, understandable manner
- Maintain and update the lab inventory
- Perform weekly maintenance on all lab equipment.
- Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures
- Collect and catalogue samples of all incoming ingredients and cheeses
- Perform microbiological tests on finished product samples and ingredients
- Collect test samples from both finished products and ingredients
- Performs daily/weekly non-product testing per Quality Plan and lab procedures
- Prepare media and pour plates as needed
- Collect water samples for all routine and regulatory testing
- Analyze test result data and inform supervisor of results
- Clean lab and be sure it is set up for the following work day
- Serve as a back-up for the Chemistry Lab and Line Auditing as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or the equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years as QA Tech or the equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of Quality Assurance experience or 2 years Microbiological Lab Tech experience in a food manufacturing environment

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
