POSITION SUMMARY
Badger Alloys is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team! The Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of quality policies, programs, and procedures to support the organization’s operational excellence goals and objectives. This role provides strategic and tactical leadership in all areas relating to maintaining and meeting quality procedures and standards.

Successful candidates will also be adaptable, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee quality control procedures for all aspects of the foundry production process, from raw materials to finished products, ensuring adherence with customer, government, and industry standards.
- Using statistical analysis, identify opportunities for scrap reduction, quality enhancements, and process improvements; develop and implement plans to support continuous improvement goals.
- Oversee quality team members, including two direct reports. Provide development, coaching, and mentoring support, as appropriate.
- Continually review and improve Quality Management System for ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Lead training programs for production staff on quality procedures; work with production staff to identify and correct problems as needed.
- Manage communication with customers and vendors regarding quality issues and concerns.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure that they meet or exceed customer requirements; develop policies and procedures that support total customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
- Periodically review new revisions of industry standards and federal regulations to maintain compliance with manufacturing- and quality-related requirements.
- Prepare reports on quality performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate with purchasing and vendors, as required, to ensure the quality of all purchased parts and materials.
- Perform all other duties and assume additional responsibilities, as requested.
- Manage internal and external audit schedule and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality within metals manufacturing and 1-3 years of supervisor experience is required.
- Prior foundry experience and knowledge of MIL-STD, NACE MR0103/MR0175, ASME, MSS, and other casting quality standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with one or more common methods of non-destructive testing.
- Strong organizational, planning, execution, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build rapport with individuals across all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience driving change through training, process improvement, and enhancement of quality.
