We have additional hours available with our Early Intervention team throughout Chester County. Candidates interested in working in both outpatient and Early Intervention may be considered for a full-time position.

PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide Pediatric Physical Therapy services for patients ages 0-18 years.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Carries out treatment for Physical Therapy patients in accordance with physician orders.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and treat a broad range of pediatric disabilities according to standard practice in physical therapy.
- Demonstrate competency in client assessment, goal setting, and development and implementation of treatment plans to meet these goals. Document appropriately. Evaluate effectiveness of plan and modify plan or treatment as indicated.
- Complete and submit notes weekly.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when interacting with families, physicians, and other team members to promote an environment of cooperation and respect. Is sensitive to those aspects of human behavior that affect the equilibrium of the working environment. Initiate appropriate behavior to effect change.
- Maintain current knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate to the clients at Quest through the attendance of continuing education courses at least 24 hours per year.
- Assign appropriate treatments or portions thereof to therapy interns, assistants, and aides, assess the accuracy, thoroughness, and appropriateness of the care they provide and provide feedback to the Director of Therapy Services.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area free from clutter in an effort to protect patient’s privacy, i.e., locks computer screen when not in use.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and personal conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required as a natural course of employment in the Company.
Patient Education:
- Facilitate movement toward a healthcare partnership between providers, the patients and families.
- Develop home exercise programs and provide written recommendations discussed during sessions, when necessary, to enhance activity practice with caregivers in the patient’s home environment.
- Educate patient/family regarding therapeutic exercises, activities, and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Cleared/Clean PA Physical Therapy License
2. Cleared / Clean Criminal History/ Child Abuse / FBI background check
3. Preferred approximately one (1) year of experience working exclusively with a pediatric population.
4. Participation in continuing education in pediatric therapy subjects as required by the Physical Therapy governing authority.
5. New graduates are welcome and will undergo extensive training during orientation. 1-2 years’ experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing, repetitive movements, lifting weights of various amounts, sitting on floor, bending/squatting, walking, driving, etc. Quest is not a latex free environment. Therefore, some latex exposure can be expected.
