Job Summary:
This job is for Southern Utah County. Infusions are conducted in patient home settings.
As a Registered Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering infusion therapies to patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. You will play a crucial role in monitoring patient responses to treatments, educating patients and their families on medication administration, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your expertise and professionalism will contribute to our commitment to providing quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and other infusion therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusions and provide immediate intervention if necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, medication administration, and potential side effects.
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including infusion therapy documentation and patient progress notes.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Utah.
- Strong knowledge of intravenous medications, infusion techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor and dedication to patient-centered care.
- CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
