California IT in Education (CITE) serves local educational agencies across the state of California. Our programs support
information technology, educational technology, and data processing professionals in school districts. We are
governed by a Board of Directors who are technology leaders in districts and county offices. A cornerstone
event is our annual conference, held each November in alternating northern and southern California
locations.
Position Objective:
Under general supervision, this position involves a comprehensive range of advanced level
responsibilities to ensure the effective management and support of CITE’s Resource & Discount programs. The key
aspects of the role include Program Management: Oversight of developing, managing, monitoring, and supporting
the programs. Specialized Knowledge: Utilization of program knowledge for administrative and support duties.
Service Provision: Direct service to the public or member agencies, including training customization. This role requires a comprehensive
understanding of the association’s procedures and operational details, as the ability to provide analytical support
to management and staff.
Travel Requirement: Approximately 30% travel, including overnight and weekends.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of Resource & Discount
programs.
- Manages project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope.
- Plans and administers annual strategic planning for each program and ensures adherence to the plan.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities.
- Identify potential issues and find creative solutions to maintain the health of the programs.
- Provides support to program participants and partners by answering questions and including other resources when needed.
- Facilitates and attends meetings with partner organizations to ensure quality and relevance of the programs.
- Lead planning, developing, and hosting a variety of in-person, virtual, and hybrid trainings, webinars, workshops, and conferences.
- Performs a variety of administrative, analytical, and customer support activities for the management of Resource & Discount Programs.
- Handles all aspects of Resource & Discount program management including partner management, partner and user support, reporting, budgeting, strategic planning and new initiatives.
- Collaborates and establishes relationships with external event partners.
- Participates in the administration of programs and program budgets; monitors revenues and expenditures; identifies and recommends resolutions for budgetary concerns.
- Participates and/or facilitates a variety of committees and working groups in support of CITE’s
programs.
- Administers RFPs for programs, as needed.
