JOB SUMMARY
Perform general custodial duties, cleaning, and maintenance of County buildings under close supervision.
Work in this classification requires an individual to be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform a variety of custodial and manual labor tasks and perform basic cleaning, restroom sanitation, floor care, and trash disposal in County facilities.

Gather and empty trash from waste receptacles, offices, and general areas.
-
Sweep and mop floors, remove dirt and debris, and clean and dust rooms, equipment, fixtures, and furniture.

Follow all safety rules and regulations, closely follow verbal and written instructions, and identify and report safety hazards, equipment problems, repair needs, security issues, and emergency situations.

Respond as directed to perform emergency cleaning work.

Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.

Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:

Valid Arizona State Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of basic methods used to maintain facilities.

Knowledge of basic safety precautions.

Skill in safely using tools, equipment, and chemicals.

Ability to follow and maintain safety standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is medium and requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work also requires the ability to crouch, feel, grasp, handle, reach, kneel, lift, pull, push, perform repetitive motion, stoop, stand, walk, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.

Work is performed in a relatively safe, secure, and stable work environment.
