Employment Position – Clinical Therapist

We are seeking a fully licensed LCSW or LCMHC (North Carolina license) to enrich our dynamic interdisciplinary practice located in the picturesque coastal region of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Our diverse team, comprising mental health therapists, registered dietitians, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and dedicated administrative staff, is passionately devoted to guiding our clients through their recovery journey. While our outpatient services cater to clients of all ages and diagnoses, we are proud to hold accreditation from The Joint Commission and state licensure to provide day treatment for adults with eating disorders. While prior experience in eating disorders is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Essential Functions

1. Provide individual, group and/or family therapy in accordance with the Chrysalis Center standard of client care.
2. Conduct thorough assessments of new clients utilizing Chrysalis Center’s intake protocol and develop a comprehensive treatment plan for any new client.
3. Create and update fluid treatment plans for all active clients. Provide discharge information and close out treatment plans for inactive clients.
4. Utilize Blueprint for outcomes measures and treatment planning.
5. Provide information collaboratively in treatment plans for IOP clients when needed.
6. Document in the medical record according to requirements of regulatory agencies.
7. Develop and maintain therapeutic rapport among clients.
8. Show evidence of clinical performance in occupancy data from clinical schedule and intake retention.
9. Show evidence of skills needed to de-escalate clients who are in distress. Be able to refer to the appropriate level of care or crisis management intervention.
10. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
11. Engage in consultation with all members of the team.
12. Participate in scheduled case staffing and supervision meetings.
13. Submit schedules, time sheets, and case management to the appropriate manager.
14. Perform crisis management techniques and behavioral contingencies (IOP staff only) safely and effectively in clinical crisis or emergency situations.
15. Facilitate groups according to approved group curriculum and engage participants. Edit or create group curriculum as needed.
16. Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA standards, and client rights at all times.
17. Demonstrate knowledge of, and supports, Chrysalis Center’s mission, vision, values, standards, policies & procedures, confidentiality standards, and codes of ethical behaviors.
18. Perform other duties as requested.

Supervisory Responsibility
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. Occasionally, there are opportunities to provide supervision to bachelor’s or master’s level students seeking graduation or licensure.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be provided an office with a desk, desk chair, computer, therapy chair and seating for clients. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Varies for Full Time and Part Time clinicians. Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Fridays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Required Education & Experience
Master’s degree or higher. Two years post-licensure experience preferred.
Preferred Education & Experience
Preference given to those with training in treating adolescents, trauma, and/or eating disorders.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
State license or registration to meet the requirements of a qualified mental health professional.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Proof of authorization to work in the U.S. by I-9 verification. Subject to Criminal Background
Check and NC Healthcare Personnel Registry check per Mental Health Licensures rules by NC
State DHSR.
