Commerce Properties is seeking a Full Time Apartment Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for performing maintenance work at a fantastic 301-unit high-rise apartment community in the beautiful Goose Hollow district of Portland, just blocks from the trendy 23rd Avenue. You will work as a member of a skilled maintenance team to assure that the residential building is maintained to company standards.

Duties Include:
- Work in alignment with Commerce’s Values-based culture.
- Performs maintenance, including basic plumbing repairs, basic electrical repairs, painting, carpentry, and lifting to 100 lbs.
- As part of a team effort, monitors common areas for cleanliness and quality and polices grounds for trash. Keeps maintenance areas organized and neat.
- Professional interaction with residents.
- Manages time appropriately. Schedules and prioritizes tasks.
- Performs work at other properties and is flexible to a changing work schedule.
- Provides after-hours maintenance coverage. Wears and responds to emergency phone.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of property maintenance experience
- At least 1-year experience with basic plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
- At least 1-year experience with appliance repair, motor maintenance and HVAC systems
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and Oregon Landlord-Tenant laws.
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam and drug screen

Pay: $21.67 - $28.17 per hour
