L&S Packing Company currently has an Administrative Assistant position available in our Amityville, NY location.
We are a manufacturer of fine Italian specialty foods as well as an industry leader in formulating and packaging other shelf-stable and refrigerated food products. We are proud to be privately owned and operated.
Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:
Provide administrative support to key management members of the organization which includes (but is not limited to):
- Greeting and announcing visitors in a front office/lobby setting.
- Assists or redirects telephone calls coming in through the company's main phone number.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings and other company events as necessary.
- Written and verbal communications with internal team members, customers and outside vendors.
- Assists in the customer invoicing process as well as other A/P and A/R support duties.
- General clerical duties such as filing, ordering and management of office supplies, copying/scanning, etc.
- Assist with the preparation and shipment of products samples and consumer web orders.
- Manages agendas, travel plans and appointments.
- Other administrative duties deemed necessary and relevant to the role.
Job Qualifications for Receptionist:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years working in a highly visible and interactive administrative role.
- Highly proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment.
- Sage Software experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a visible role within the organization that requires continuous verbal and written interaction, while always demonstrating a professional and courteous attitude toward others.
- Extremely detail oriented. Ability to identify and intercept errors before reaching customers or the intended recipient or end user.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Self-Starter and initiative taker that is comfortable working independently with minimal need for direction.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
