As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician A, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all the equipment we use to transport and handle freight. Common equipment you will be working on include single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks, and propane and diesel-powered industrial forklifts.
Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedule and customer commitments; Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on the component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts; Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown or potential failure; Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system test, brake adjustments, and tire inflation; Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.
For this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Driver's License, at least 6 months related experience and/or training, and the ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test. We would prefer you to have prior experience including Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Automotive Service, ASE Certification, Diesel Engine Certification.
