We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Physical Therapist to be a part of the continued growth of Fusion Therapy Center. You will be providing direct patient care alongside a team of experienced pediatric therapists, who are passionate about their fields. The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. We are currently looking for someone interested in working with infants and babies.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients based on concerns to determine eligibility for services
- Synthesize results to select and/or adapt an individualized physical therapy treatment model, method and approach to optimize skills of client
- Apply interventions to maximize gross motor skills and functional mobility, increasing a client's independence
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Recommend adaptive equipment as needed and train in its use
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals
- Collect data and document processes followed
- Meet company deadlines for documentation to allow for adequate patient care
Skills Required:
- Proven working experience as physical therapist (or clinical experience completed)
- Flexible, critical thinker, with a positive and growth-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapy
- Hands-on experience with computer programs
- Familiarity with physical therapy assessments and Medicaid guidelines
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice physical therapy
- Graduate degree or greater in physical therapy
Pay
- Competitive billable-hour employee rate
- Schedule will initially be part-time (12-20 hours), but quickly working up to full-time
- Hours worked can be flexible and are negotiable
- Evaluation write-up time paid
- CEUs paid based on a sliding scale of hours available
- Liability insurance paid
- Licensure paid once available for a certain number of hours
The caseload at Fusion will range from newborns to adults, but will be heavily pediatrics. We have extensions developing outside of pediatrics to include dry needling, craniosacral therapy, women's health, sports medicine, etc... Our clinic setting will be calm, yet dynamic. Fusion Therapy Center is in a prime location and experiencing rapid growth.
